The Leviathan is similar to its namesake from the Earth that was, a large creature that plumbs the depths of the Black ferrying people and cargo from here to there. These ships are considered the backbone of trade in the Verse, between these and the Firefly, they account for 60 percent of the craft plying the trade lanes of the Black.
